Fly Higher was my first attempt at making a tune with some custom vocals. I had laid out all of the drums, melodic elements, and structure for the tune, and kept singing "fly higher, just a little bit higher" in my head while working on it. By the time I finished making the instrumental, I was used to hearing my own voice to it, so I decided to record myself singing it 3 times and overdubbing the takes to get a bit of a vintage sound to it. For years I never told anyone it was me singing, but now you know! :)
